Abstract:
Provided are a connection member and a connector for a twisted-pair wire that allow a holding part for holding a twisted-pair wire to be fixed in the housing of the connector, and housing-fixing parts for fixing the holding part in the housing to be fixed in the housing without requiring a special structure. The connection member 30 for a twisted-pair wire is provided with a holding part 31 for holding a twisted-pair wire W, and housing-fixing parts 32 for fixing the holding part 31 to the housing 20 of a connector 1. The housing-fixing parts 32 are accommodated in second contact-accommodating parts 22 provided to the housing 20 and are fixed in the housing 20, the second contact-accommodating parts 22 being different from a pair of first contact-accommodating parts 21 for accommodating a pair of contacts 10 connected to the terminals of two wires W1, W2 constituting the untwisted portion Y of the twisted-pair wire W.
