Abstract:
A connector for memory card (11), comprising a housing (12), a plate (14), a guide plate (16), a lock mechanism (18), and a connector pin holding part (20), wherein, because the connector pin holding part (20) is formed so as to be installed horizontally on the rear surface of the housing (12) and the press-fitted part (40a) of connector pins (40) is press-fitted in a vertical state, the amount of projection of the connector pin holding part (20) to the rear can be suppressed so as to contribute to a reduction in size and thickness, whereby the housing (12) can promote a reduction in the size and thickness of the connector for memory card (11) so as to reduce the weight of the connector for memory card (11) by bending the shape of the connector pins (40) in L-shape and forming a mounting hole (20a) for the connector pin holding part (20) extendingly in vertical direction.
