Abstract:
Female terminal accommodation chambers (21) of a female housing (20) in a female connector (2) have insertion orifices (22a) via which male terminals (40) are inserted and that open in the same direction. The female housing (20) is provided with a tubular body (22) for each of the female terminal accommodation chambers (21), joints (23) that each link two neighboring tubular bodies (22), and slits (24) that each separate the two neighboring tubular bodies (22) at a section from the insertion orifice (22a) side to a bottom (24a), which corresponds to an end on the insertion orifice (22a) side in the joint (23). A male housing (50) of a male connector (3) is provided with walls (53) in a female-side accommodation chamber (51), the walls (53) being inserted into the slits (24) when the connectors are connected. The depth of each of the slits (24) at the section from the insertion orifice (22a) side to the bottom (24a) is set so that the amount of flexure arising when the connectors are connected is controlled to be equal to or below a prescribed amount at the portion at which the two neighboring tubular bodies (22) are separated.
