Abstract:
This connector 10 includes: a housing 20 provided with cavities 21 capable of storing terminal fittings and a retainer insertion passage 30 continuing from an outer surface 20A to the cavities 21; and a retainer 50 for insertion into the retainer insertion passage 30. The connector 10 can lock the retainer 50 fitted into the housing 20 at a temporary locking position that allows the terminal fittings to be inserted to a normal position toward the depth of the cavities 21, and a permanent locking position for locking the terminal fittings that are at the normal position when the retainer is pushed further past the temporary locking position toward the depth of the retainer insertion passage 30. In the temporary locking position, the retainer 50 is locked so that the retainer 50 does not project from the outer surface 20A of the housing 20.
