Disclosed is a construction method employing segmented-track switching and accumulative sliding for a single side of an unequal-span structure. The method comprises: dividing an unequal-span structure into at least two sliding blocks according to span changes, and providing multiple pairs of sliding track segments corresponding to the span of each sliding block; and providing, for a main truss/beam of the sliding block, a slider corresponding to a sliding track segment that the main truss/beam is to travel on so as to allow the sliding block to successfully travel on a sliding track and reach a desired position. In addition, a prefabricated temporary extension auxiliary structure can be assembled to the main truss/beam of the sliding block, or the main truss/beam of the sliding block can be divided into a unit to be initially mounted and a unit to be subsequently mounted, thereby allowing the same to successfully travel on the sliding track and reach the desired position.
