Abstract:
The present application provides a container management method, executed by a container management system. The system is used for managing a pod deployed or to be deployed to a service cluster. The method comprises: determining the lifecycle of at least one node (for deploying pods) in a service cluster and the lifecycle of at least one pod; then determining a target node according to the lifecycle of the at least one node and the lifecycle of the at least one pod, the target node being a node of a pod to be deployed or a node of a pod to be deleted; then a container management system scaling the pod at the target node. According to the method, a pod is scaled in accordance with the lifecycle of a node in a service cluster and the lifecycle of a pod deployed or to be deployed, thereby preventing the elastic scaling of pods from being separated from the elastic scaling of nodes, implementing on-demand use of node resources, and reducing service cost.
