Title:
CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD FOR STEEL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/286488
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A continuous casting method for steel that simultaneously achieves suppression of erosion of a sliding nozzle plate of a tundish and a ladle and prevention of adhesion of inclusions to a discharge hole of the sliding nozzle plate, as well as the resulting blockage of the nozzle. In the continuous casting method for steel according to the present invention, molten steel containing calcium and deoxidized with silicon without the addition of aluminum is continuously cast, the molten steel is accommodated in a ladle in which is installed a sliding nozzle formed of a first sliding nozzle plate made of an alumina-zirconia-carbon based refractory, the molten steel is poured from the ladle into a tundish in which is installed a sliding nozzle formed of a second sliding nozzle plate made of a magnesia-spinel based refractory, and the molten steel is poured from the tundish into a casting mold while blowing an inert gas into the molten steel flowing down through a discharge hole of the second sliding nozzle plate.
