Abstract:

The present invention relates to a continuous tape feeding apparatus and a continuous tape feeding method, the apparatus comprising a pair of tape feeding roll parts including a first tape feeding roll part and a second tape feeding roll part, around which an insulating tape (hereinafter, referred to as "tape") is wound as a roll type in a step of attaching the tape to the outside of an electric vehicle battery, so as to automatically and continuously feed the tape wound around the pair of tape feeding roll parts and, more specifically, to: a continuous tape feeding apparatus for continuously feeding a tape by using a tape exchange unit, which allows, before being completely fed and fully exhausted, the tape wound around the first or second tape feeding roll part to be automatically exchanged for a tape wound around the another tape feeding roll part, which waits to be fed; and a continuous tape feeding method, the apparatus comprising: two adsorption pads having a predetermined gap therebetween at each of the upper and lower parts of the tape exchange unit in order to fix the tape; a pair of upper and lower tape adsorption blocks for connection, which is between the two adsorption pads provided to each of the upper and lower parts and to which a connection tape capable of connecting a cut tape is adhered on each surface thereof; a tape cutting cutter for cutting the tape fixed by the adsorption pads; and the like, and thus the present invention smoothly feeds the tape, can reduce tape exchange time, and can decrease errors of a tape connection part during tape exchange between the tape feeding roll parts.
