Abstract:
A continuously variable transmission comprises a pair of pressing means that form a torque transmission contact portion in a disk overlapping area where an input disk and an output disk overlap each other. The present invention comprises target slip rate setting means that sets a target slip rate between the input disk and the output disk in a torque contact portion as a higher value than a torque transmission initiation slip rate in the torque contact portion, and control means that controls the clamping-pressing force on both disks by the pressing means so that an actual slip rate in the torque contact portion becomes a target slip rate.
