Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a technique for a continuously variable valve lift device having a lift amount change mechanism which changes the amount of lift of an engine valve with increased accuracy. [Solution] A continuously variable valve lift device is provided with: a rocker arm which opens and closes a valve of an engine by a cam of a camshaft; and a lift amount change mechanism for the engine valve. The lift amount change mechanism has: a control shaft which has an eccentric circle cam; a control arm which pivots about the eccentric circle cam and which has a first arm and a cam contact section which makes contact with a first cam; a second pressing means which presses the cam contact section against the first cam; a cam member which is supported so as to be capable of pivoting about a shaft body and which has a second arm and a second cam section, the second cam section having a free curved surface shape and making contact with the rocker arm; and a link arm which has both ends supported in a pivotable manner by the first arm and the second arm.
