Abstract:
The invention relates to a continuously working press for the production of material boards or mats, comprising a continuously circulating rolling body carpet formed by a plurality of rolling bodies (10) arranged in an axially transverse manner in relation to the running direction of the belt, said rolling bodies being connected to guide chains (14), arranged outside of the pressing gap, via axially arranged rods (11), wherein, in the event of an axial deviation of the rolling bodies (10) out of a predetermined ideal region, means for introducing axial restoring forces (22) directly into the rolling bodies (10) is arranged between rolling bodies (10) and guide chain (14). The invention for the method for operating a continuous press includes introducing axially effective restoring forces (22) into the rolling bodies (10), by means of at least one means arranged between the rolling bodies (10) and the guide chain (14), in the event of an associated axial deviation of the rolling bodies (10) out of a predetermined ideal region.
