Abstract:
A control apparatus for an elevator allows an elevator to stop at a nearest floor in case of emergency and prevents users from being trapped at the doorway of an emergency landing floor. The control apparatus includes an operation mode control unit, a door opening/closing control unit which allows the elevator to open the doors for a given time at the doorway of a nearest emergency landing floor when the operation mode control unit reverts the operation mode from an emergency operation mode to a normal operation mode, and an announcement control unit which announces that the elevator is usable by using an announcing device provided at the elevator car or at an elevator hall at the emergency landing floor where the door opening/closing control unit causes the elevator to open the doors for a given time when the operation mode control unit reverts the operation mode from the emergency operation mode to the normal operation mode.
