Abstract:
This electric motor control apparatus has an AC power supply, a converter, an inverter, an electric motor, and a control unit. The AC power supply supplies AC power. The converter converts AC power supplied by the AC power supply into DC power. The inverter is connected to the converter and converts DC power converted and output by the converter into AC power. The electric motor rotates using the AC power converted by the inverter. The control unit controls the rotation speed of the electric motor on the basis of the voltage value of the voltage output from the converter and the current value for the AC power converted by the inverter. The control unit reduces the rotation speed of the electric motor if a power value calculated using the voltage value and the current value exceeds a prescribed value.
