Abstract:
Provided is a control apparatus that is provided with: an image pickup control unit that controls image capturing at an image pickup device; and a detection unit that detects a subject on the basis of a first captured image obtained by capturing an image of a detection region set in a part of an angle of view of the image pickup device. The image pickup control unit causes the image pickup device to perform image capturing of the detection region or image capturing of an acquisition region set in the angle of view of the image pickup device, and causes an image of the acquisition region to be captured in the case where the subject is detected on the basis of the first captured image.
