Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus which effectively restricts the consumption of an electricity storage means while maintaining the efficacy of a rear wheel steering device as much as possible. An ECU (100) executes control for saving ARS electric power in a vehicle (10) provided with an ARS actuator (400) and an ARS driving device (500), which serve as a rear wheel steering device. In the aforementioned control, if a rear wheel steering angle δr is larger than a reference steering angle δrth, then the electric power to ARS actuator (400) is cut off, provided that a steering angle deviation Δδr, which is the difference value between a target rear wheel steering angle δrtg and the rear wheel steering angle δr, is larger than a reference deviation Δδrth, and that a duration Tlst, which is the time that this state lasts, exceeds a reference value Tlstth.
