Abstract:
This control cable is provided with: an inner cable; an outer cable within which the inner cable is inserted; a terminal member having an affixing section that affixes to a vehicle body and that is affixed to the end of the outer cable; and a boot that is provided across the inner cable and the terminal member. The terminal member has: a boot-covered section provided to the vicinity of the affixing section; and a flange provided to the tip-side of the boot-covered section. The boot has: an inner cable engagement section that engages the inner cable; a terminal member engagement section that engages the boot-covered section and is in close contact with the boot-covered section across the entire perimeter thereof; and a flange receiving section that receives the flange. The terminal member engagement section has a length that can maintain close contact with the boot-covered section across the entire perimeter thereof, even if the reception state of the flange by the flange receiving section has changed.
