Abstract:
A control circuit (50) is applied to a system provided with a rotating electrical machine (10), a power converter (15) electrically connected to the winding (11) of the rotating electrical machine, a power supply (30), a shutoff switch (23a, 23b) provided to an electrical pathway (22H, 22L) connecting the power supply and the power converter, and a power storage unit (24). The control circuit is provided with an abnormality assessment unit (60, 85) for assessing whether or not a fault is occurring in the system, and a regeneration prevention unit (81a, 82a, 87, 80, 91, 103, 104) for preventing the occurrence of electrical regeneration in which an electrical current flows from the rotating electrical machine side towards the power storage unit. If it is assessed by the abnormality assessment unit that an abnormality has occurred, the shutoff switch is switched to an OFF state after the occurrence of electrical regeneration is prevented by the regeneration prevention unit.
