Abstract:

Provided are a control device, an air conditioner, and a control method thereof. The control device comprises: a communication interface which communicates with an external device; and a processor which controls the communication interface to receive indoor and outdoor environment information and user control information, wherein the processor: predicts indoor temperatures over time through a temperature prediction model on the basis of the received indoor and outdoor environment information and user control information; acquires candidate set-points corresponding thereto; acquires temperature control schedules; predicts energy consumption of each of the acquired temperature control schedules through an energy prediction model; identifies a temperature control schedule having the smallest predicted energy consumption as an optimal temperature control schedule; and transmits control information over time to the air conditioner during a predetermined power-saving operation time on the basis of the identified optimal temperature control schedule.
