Abstract:
A control device (100) for an internal combustion engine (10) provided with a combustion chamber (18), a structure in which the occurrence of cooling loss in a cylinder head (12) is suppressed by the heat insulation of the cylinder head, and an EGR device (30) for causing EGR gas (200) that is gas containing part of exhaust gas discharged from the combustion chamber to flow into the combustion chamber is provided with a control unit (104) for controlling the EGR device such that the EGR gas flows into the combustion chamber at a predetermined time in the intake stroke of the internal combustion engine, and the predetermined time is a time at which the EGR gas that has flowed into the combustion chamber at the predetermined time is located between a piston (13) and air-fuel mixture (201) when the piston is positioned at a top dead center in the compression stroke of the internal combustion engine.
