Abstract:
A control device (30) for executing a control method for controlling a wire electrical discharge machine (10) comprises: a machining control unit (310) that interrupts first machining (PA), and resumes the first machining after completion of second machining (PB); an acquisition unit (324) that acquires a detection signal from a sensor (50); a measuring unit (326) that measures, on the basis of the detection signal, a first consumption amount (CA1) of a wire electrode (14) from the start to the interruption of the first machining, and a second consumption amount (CA2) from the resuming to the end of the first machining; and a consumption amount calculation unit (330) that calculates a first total consumption amount (CA) of the wire electrode consumed in the first machining.
