Abstract:
The present technology pertains to a control device, a control method, and a program that make it possible to readily detect contact of an object on a prescribed surface, when the object has been grasped and placed on the prescribed surface. A detection unit 104 detects contact on a placement surface, by a target object, on the basis of the pressure of ultrasonic waves received by an ultrasonic wave reception element, when the target object is placed on the placement surface, said target object being grasped by: a finger that has an ultrasonic wave transmission element that emits ultrasonic waves; and a finger that has the ultrasonic wave reception element which receives ultrasonic waves output from the ultrasonic wave transmission element. This technology can be applied to, for example, a robot control device.
