Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to assess the state of a movable part of a fuel injection valve during a period from the end of a preceding injection to the start of a following injection. To achieve this purpose, a control device 101 for controlling a fuel control valve includes a control unit 102. The control unit 102, after a valve body 301 has contacted a valve seat 302 and closed, energizes a coil 303 through a switching operation, in a state in which a movable part 306 is displaced in a direction away from a fixed part 310, and, on the basis of a change in the length of time taken for a drive current being supplied to the coil 303 to change to a target current value after the start of application of a drive voltage to the coil 303, performs a process to detect an initial position return timing at which the movable part 306 reaches an initial position after the valve body 301 has closed.
