Abstract:
A control device is capable of shortening the time until a system is stopped by the operation of an ignition switch under conditions in which an internal combustion engine is stopped by stop control. A control unit is provided which executes phase conversion control for transitioning a valve-opening/closing period control mechanism from a first lock phase to a second lock phase when a transmission mechanism is operated to a second gear shift position different from a first gear shift position that enables travel under conditions in which an internal combustion engine is stopped by stop control.
