Abstract:
A control method for an air conditioner. An indoor unit of the air conditioner comprises a housing (1), and a heat exchanger (2) and a sterilization lamp (3) which are arranged in the housing (1), wherein the sterilization lamp (3) can sterilize the heat exchanger (2). The control method comprises: when a self-cleaning instruction is received, enabling an air conditioner to execute a self-cleaning program; acquiring an interval time between the present execution of the self-cleaning program and the previous execution of the self-cleaning program; and according to the interval time, selectively enabling a sterilization lamp (3) to start and run. Further provided is an air conditioner for executing the control method. By means of the control method for an air conditioner and the air conditioner, dust on a heat exchanger can be cleaned up, and bacteria on the heat exchanger can also be quickly removed, thereby improving the cleaning effect of the heat exchanger.
