The present application relates to the technical field of air conditioners. Provided are a control method and apparatus for an air conditioner, and an electronic device, a storage medium and an air conditioner. The control method for an air conditioner comprises: detecting an opening and closing state of a door within a preset time period of a workday; and on the basis of the opening and closing state, determining whether a user has gone out, and then controlling whether an air conditioner needs to be turned off. In the control method for an air conditioner provided in the present application, according to the opening and closing state of a door within a preset time period of a workday, it is automatically determined whether a user has gone out to work, and the air conditioner is automatically controlled to be turned off, thereby avoiding the situation whereby the user forgets to turn off the air conditioner when going to work, causing the air conditioner to run in an unmanned state, thereby resulting in a waste of energy and bringing about unnecessary economic losses to the user.
