Abstract:
In this control method for an engine that performs knock feedback control to operate under a predetermined driving condition and store an ignition timing when the engine stops as a learning value to be used for controlling subsequent ignition timings, the knock feedback control making the ignition timing delay when a cylinder (20) detects occurrence of knocking and advance the ignition timing unless occurrence of knocking is detected, the learning value of the ignition timing is not used when the knock feedback control is in a non-operation state and the learning value of the ignition timing is used when transition of the knock feedback control from the non-operation state to an operation state is performed.
