Abstract:
[Problem] In speaker systems, which have become smaller, capable of offering higher performance, and lighter, under the condition of minimizing cost and geometry, parameters relating to respective evaluation items are in contradictory relationship with one another in light of system performance. While it is desired to expand the freedom of selection of all parameters, this is not easy nowadays when already a high level of perfection is achieved. The market has further needs, and in order to satisfy the needs, a decisive approach to greatly expand the degree of design freedom is required. [Solution] With respect to various limit capabilities in acoustic reproduction systems including speaker systems, in low and high sound frequencies in particular and in all bands generally, an output voltage of a power amplifier, an electric current supplied to a voice coil, power consumption of the voice coil, a temperature of the voice coil, and a vibration amplitude of the voice coil are calculated from known parameters required for the calculation and input signals, whereby operation status is ascertained and a reproduction signal is limited to a state within allowable limits.
