A control method for a direct drive system (100). The method comprises the following steps: S1, outputting a current to a winding (23) of a corresponding stator (2) by means of a driver (4), and enabling the winding to drive a rotor (3) corresponding thereto to move in a single direction along a guide rail (1); S2, performing position induction on a second position feedback device (31) by means of a first position feedback device (21) to obtain position information of the rotor relative to the stator; and S3, changing a driving mode of the driver according to the position information, so that the driver adjusts, according to the driving mode, the magnitude of the current outputted by the driver to the winding of the corresponding stator. According to the control method, a direct drive system having a plurality of coils as a stator can be controlled, and the number of power modules used in the direct drive system is reduced, thereby reducing the overall production and use costs of the direct drive system.
