Abstract:
Disclosed are a control system for a control method for an electronic ballast of a gas discharge (HID) lamp. A PWM signal is generated to control a left upper arm switch K1, a right upper arm switch K2, a left lower arm switch K3 and a right lower arm switch K4 in a ballast. In the normal working process of an electronic ballast, a PWM signal is generated, and in this step, a controller generates a PWM1 signal for controlling the left upper arm switch K1 to be switched on and switched off, a PWM2 signal for controlling the right upper arm switch K2 to be switched on and switched off, a PWM3 signal for controlling the left lower arm switch K3 to be switched on and switched off, and a PWM4 signal for controlling the right lower arm switch K4 to be switched on and switched off, wherein the PWM1 signal and the PWM2 signal are low-frequency signals and have the same frequency and opposite phases, and the PWM3 signal and the PWM4 signal are high-frequency signals. A control circuit comprises a circuit for generating these PWM signals. In the control method for an electronic ballast in the present invention, the duty ratio of a PWM signal of a lower arm of a semiconductor full-bridge circuit is controlled according to the power consumption change in a gas discharge (HID) lamp, so as to control the power consumption of the gas discharge (HID) lamp.
