Abstract:
Provided is a control method for a hybrid vehicle, such vehicle: comprising an engine, a power generation-use motor generator, and a traveling-use motor generator; having a series hybrid mode in which the engine drives the power generation-use motor generator to generate power, and the power generated by the power generation-use motor generator drives the traveling-use motor generator ; and comprising a filter that traps particulate matter in the exhaust of the engine. This control method includes limiting the operation of the engine on the basis of the amount of particulate matter deposited on the filter.
