Abstract:
An aspect of the present invention is a control method for a temperature control system that heats the cabin of a vehicle using heat generated in the vehicle by a heat generation part, which is a portion that generates heat. The control method for the temperature control system involves presetting a target temperature to be maintained by the heat generation part. The control method also involves computing a required cooling capability that is the cooling capability required to reduce the temperature of the heat generation part to the target temperature when the temperature of the heat generation part has exceeded the target temperature, and a cooling capability of a cooling circuit that cools the heat generation part. The control method also involves deferring starting to cool the heat generation part until the required cooling capability and the cooling capability of the cooling circuit are equal if the temperature of the heat generation part has exceeded the target temperature, and starting to cool the heat generation part when the required cooling capability and the cooling capability of the cooling circuit have become equal after the temperature of the heat generation part has exceeded the target temperature.
