Abstract:
According to the present invention, reverse feed operations of a welding wire 21 are performed, following which forward feed operations are performed. After starting forward feed operations, a first current value Ia' is detected at a first point-in-time a'. A first time Tab' from the first point-in-time a' to a second point-in-time b' is detected. After the second point-in-time b' elapses, a second current value Ic' is detected at a third point-in-time c'. At least one of the first current value Ia', the second current value Ic', and the first time Tab' is compared with a first set current value Ia, a second set current value Ic, and a first set time Tab, corresponding thereto, which are set in advance, and abnormality of a conduit cable 16 is determined.
