Abstract:
A control system according to the present invention comprises: an arithmetic processing unit that executes a user program containing a function block; a data retaining unit that retains data referenced by the user program; an instruction issuing unit that issues an instruction for modifying a value of the data referenced by the user program, which is executed by the arithmetic processing unit, in accordance with a user operation; an address identifying unit that, when there is instruction to modify the value of an input/output variable associated with the function block, references a past execution state of the function block to identify an address of the data retaining unit associated with the input/output variable; and a modifying unit that modifies, to the instructed value, the value retained in the address identified by the data retaining unit.
