Provided is a control valve for a variable displacement compressor, the control valve being configured so that a reduction in the control accuracy of the control valve can be suppressed. In a control valve 300, a valve chamber 321b for containing a valve body 322 constitutes either a part of a pressure supply path for supplying a refrigerant within a discharge chamber to a crank chamber or a part of a pressure relief path through which a refrigerant within the crank chamber flows toward a suction chamber, both the supply of the refrigerant to the crank chamber and the flow of the refrigerant toward the suction chamber being started in response to the opening and closing of a valve hole 321c performed by the valve section 322a of the valve body 322. A partition section 322b having a greater diameter than the valve section 322a of the valve section 322 divides the inside of the valve chamber 321b into a first pressure action chamber 321b1 on which pressure in the suction chamber mainly acts, and also into a second pressure action chamber 321b2 on which pressure in the crank chamber mainly acts and into which a refrigerant within the discharge chamber flows when the valve hole 321c is open. The gap between the outer peripheral surface of the partition section 322b and the inner peripheral surface of the valve chamber 321b forms a stationary orifice in the pressure relief path, and the second pressure action chamber 321b2 is formed to have a greater inner diameter than the inner peripheral surface of the valve chamber 321b.
