Abstract:
Disclosed by the present application are a controller and control method for a thermoelectrically cooled heater. The controller comprises: a switching power supply, connected to said thermoelectrically cooled heater to provide a first drive current; and a constant-current constant-voltage power supply, connected to said thermoelectrically cooled heater to provide a second drive current, wherein, according to a temperature detection signal, one of said switching power supply and said constant-current constant-voltage power supply operates; said first drive current is a continuous drive current and flows from the positive end of the thermoelectrically cooled heater to the negative end, and said second drive current is a pulse drive current and flows from the positive end of the thermoelectrically cooled heater to the negative end; the controller uses the switching power supply to provide a continuous output in cooled mode to improve monotonicity, and the constant-current constant-voltage power supply is used to provide pulsed output in the heating mode to improve circuit efficiency and provide protection.
