Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a controller for an internal combustion engine that can appropriately prevent deterioration of the combustion state in response to the state of a control parameter. In an internal combustion engine capable of performing a feedback control of the fuel injection amount that uses, as a control parameter, a crank angle period from the ignition timing to a crank angle at which a predetermined mass faction of burned fuel is achieved and a feedback control of the ignition timing that is based on the combustion gravity center position, if the calculated combustion gravity center position is abnormal, not only the feedback control of the ignition timing but also the feedback control of the fuel injection amount are stopped.
