Abstract:
Provided is a conveyance device capable of achieving high conveyance efficiency. A conveyance device equipped with a conveyance unit for conveying an object to be conveyed, a movement unit for controlling movement, and a control unit for controlling the operation of the conveyance unit and the movement unit according to an instruction, wherein: the control unit controls the movement unit so as to move to a location for forming a group which will execute group conveyance and controls the conveyance unit so as to convey the object to be conveyed at said location,
in the case that the instruction is to form a situation in which a plurality of conveyance devices execute group conveyance by linking with one another while conveying from a conveyance origin to a conveyance destination; and the control unit controls the movement unit so as to move from the conveyance origin to the conveyance destination when the instruction is to execute individual conveyance for carrying the object to be conveyed from the conveyance origin to the conveyance destination.
