Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a conveyance device that can stably convey a cart without applying unnecessary stress to each frame that constitutes the cart. This conveyance device conveys a cart having a front frame, a rear frame, a coupling frame, and a plurality of casters, and comprises: at least one sensor that detects the surroundings of the conveyance device and the respective positions of the front frame, the rear frame and the coupling frame that constitute the cart; a clamping mechanism that holds the front frame and the rear frame; a clamping mechanism drive unit that drives the clamping mechanism; and a control unit that controls a device drive unit and the clamping mechanism drive unit. On the basis of the sensor detection results, the control unit controls the device drive unit to submerge the conveyance device into the cart, and then controls the clamping mechanism drive unit to slide the clamping mechanism outward and hold the front frame and rear frame from the inside.
