This conveyance device is configured so that a carriage drive means (9), which drives and propels both a pair of left and right carriage units (7a, 7b) that individually support the left and right sides of an object (W) to be conveyed, comprises: a pair of left and right screw shafts (8a, 8b) supported in a rotatable manner along the movement path of the carriage units (7a, 7b); driven rollers (35a-35c) supported in a rotatable manner by the carriage units (7a, 7b) and engaging with the screw shafts (8a, 8b); a transmission means (26) for connecting the pair of left and right screw shafts (8a, 8b) through the outside of a conveyance path (2) in such a manner that the left and right screw shafts (8a, 8b) are interlocked; and a single motor (27) for driving both the pair of left and right screw shafts (8a, 8b) through the transmission means (26) in such a manner that the left and right screw shafts (8a, 8b) are interlocked.
