Abstract:
This conveyance roller comprises a roller body, a rotary member, a permanent magnet, and a hysteresis material. A columnar shaft member is inserted into the roller body and the rotary member. The roller body is provided so as to be rotatable with respect to the shaft member and cover the outer side of a center section of the shaft member. The rotary member has a driven section provided outside the roller body in the axial direction of the shaft member and rotates with respect to the shaft member by rotationally driving the driven section with a driving source. The permanent magnet is provided inside the roller body and fixed to one among the rotary member and the roller body. The hysteresis material is fixed to the other among the rotary member and the roller body so as to face the permanent magnet in the radial direction of the roller body and generates hysteresis torque between the permanent magnet and the hysteresis material.
