This conveying device 1 comprises: a permanent magnet 10 provided to a specimen rack 111 side; magnetic poles 25 having cores 22 formed from second magnetic bodies, and windings 21 respectively wound around the periphery of the cores 22; drive circuits 50 that supply current to the windings 21 of the magnetic poles 25; a current command calculation unit 55 that controls the value for the current to be supplied from the drive circuits 50 to the windings 21, and that modifies the current to be supplied to the windings 21. Thus provided are: a conveying device with superior conveying performance than conventional conveying devices; a sample analysis system and sample preprocessing device that comprise the conveying device; and a method for conveying a sample to be conveyed.
