Abstract:
Provided is a conveying vehicle capable of travelling efficiently while minimizing slippage of the vehicle. A dump truck 100 that is equipped with a vehicle control device 300 and a vehicle body 101 provided with wheels 103 and that travels along a travel route, wherein the vehicle control device 300: calculates and stores a slip limit value for a plurality of positions on the travel route; reads out a slip limit value; calculates the maximum acceleration and/or the maximum deceleration of the dump truck 100 at which the wheels 103 can maintain a grip state with respect to the road surface; and sets a target travel speed for a travel position between the dump truck 100 and a target position in accordance with a target speed at the target position and the maximum acceleration and/or the maximum deceleration.
