Abstract:
[Problem] Provided are a conveyor and a conveying method capable of suppressing excess rotation and inadequate rotation of a supply roll for intermittently sending out battery raw materials even when the inertial moment of the supply roll changes. [Solution] A conveyor (100) has a supply roll (110) that is wound with a band-shaped battery raw material W, which is the raw material of the electrodes or the separators, and is rotated to intermittently send out the battery raw materials W, a roll detection means (240) for detecting the amount of battery raw material W remaining on the supply roll (110), and a braking force provision means (230) for providing braking force to rotation of the supply roll (110) based on the amount of battery raw material W detected by the roll detection means (240).
