A cooking appliance (100) control method, and a cooking appliance. The cooking device (100) comprises a main body (10) and a door body (20). The main body (10) defines a cooking cavity (11), and the door body (20) is suitable for closing the cooking cavity (11). The control method comprises: in response to a cooking instruction, controlling the cooking appliance (100) to cook (S10); and when the cooking appliance (100) completes cooking, controlling the door body (20) to open the cooking cavity (11) so as to discharge residual steam in the cooking process (S20).
