Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cooking appliance and a method for controlling the cooking appliance. According to the present invention, a cavity (S) may be formed inside a case (100, 200), and a first heat source module (400) for emitting microwaves into the cavity (S) may be disposed on a side surface of the case (100, 200). In addition, a second heat source module (500) for emitting a magnetic field toward the cavity (S) may be disposed on the bottom surface of the case (100, 200), and a third heat source module (600) for emitting radiant heat toward the cavity (S) may be disposed above the case (100, 200). The second heat source module (500), which employs an induction heating method, can quickly heat the bottom surface of a container (B), and thus can increase a cooking speed by the cooking appliance together with remaining heat sources.
