Abstract:
Provided are: a small-sized cooking appliance inside which a process for impregnating a food material with a seasoning liquid and firing in a low-pressure state is completed, and which can ensure cleanliness due to being easy to remove; and a method for controlling the same. This cooking appliance for cooking a food material comprises: a container which is stored inside an outer box formed into a box shape by a lid and a lower cover; a tray which is stored in the container and on which the food material is placed; a lifting/lowering means for lifting/lowering the tray up and down; and a heater on at least one of the lid or the lower cover, wherein the tray is positioned below to impregnate the food material with a seasoning liquid, the tray is positioned above to pull the food material up from the seasoning liquid, and the seasoning liquid is stirred in the state where the tray is positioned below to impregnate the food material with the seasoning liquid.
