Provided are a cooking device and a hinge apparatus (300). The cooking device comprises a main body part (100), a door body (200), and the hinge apparatus (300). The main body part (100) has a cooking cavity (110) and a pick-and-place opening (120), the pick-and-place opening (120) being used for placing the cooking cavity (110) in communication with the outside, and the door body (200) being used for opening and closing the pick-and-place opening (120). The hinge apparatus (300) comprises a hinge arm (310) and a mounting assembly (320). The hinge arm (310) is connected to the door body (200), and the mounting assembly (320) is connected to the main body part (100). The mounting assembly (320) comprises a mounting base (321), the hinge arm (310) is rotatably connected to the mounting base (321), and the hinge arm (310) can rotate relative to the mounting base (321), so that the door body (200) is switched between an open state and a closed state. The hinge arm (310) has an avoidance structure (311) recessed inwards from an edge thereof, and when the door body (200) is in the open state, the avoidance structure (311) cooperates with the main body part (100). There is no need to provide, on the main body part (100), an avoidance gap for the hinge arm (310) to move, reducing occupation of the designed space of the main body part (100).
