Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cooking hob (10) equipped with a securing device for securing a cooking element (for example, a pot) to said cooking hob, and finds application especially - though not exclusively - in the field of induction cooking hobs. The invention exploits the use of cooking elements made of a ferromagnetic material and the securing device according to the invention comprises one or more magnetic elements (1, Γ) which are arranged around one or more cooking zones and are switchable between a first, active configuration, in which they magnetically engage a cooking element made of a ferromagnetic material, and a second, inactive configuration, in which they do not magnetically engage said cooking element and leave it free. Said magnetic elements can be made as permanent magnets (1) or electromagnets (Γ).
