Abstract:
An induction heating cooker comprises: a rectification unit for rectifying an alternating current (AC) voltage, supplied from a supply unit, into a direct current (DC) voltage; and first and second switching units of which switching operations are controlled such that the DC voltage from the rectification unit is alternately applied to a working coil in order to drive the working coil. A cooking vessel detection apparatus of the induction heating cooker may comprise: a first current detection unit for detecting a first current which flows between the power supply unit and the rectification unit; a second current detection unit for detecting a second current which flows through the working coil; and a control unit for determining an absence of a cooking vessel placed on the working coil on the basis of the first and second currents.
