Abstract:
A cooling apparatus for hot rolled steel band that in the cooling of hot rolled steel
band with cooling water, is capable of cooling the steel band uniformly from the
front end to the tail end thereof; and a relevant method of cooling. Cooling apparatus
(10) includes multiple circular pipe nozzles (15) disposed with such a slope
that rodlike cooling water is injected with injection angle (θ) toward
the direction of move of steel band (12) and pinch roll (11) disposed on the downstream
side thereof so as to pinch the steel band (12) between the same and roller table
(8).
